What note app should I use?
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of applications used for notetaking. Some of the common ones are Obsidian, Notion, Joplin, Notepad++, Sublime, Bookstack. The list goes on and on. I know individuals who use Discord as a notetaking application.
So it begs the question, which is right for you? I am going to be honest. I don't know, and neither does anyone else. Here are a couple of questions or prompts that might help narrow down your decisions.
Do you like to spend more time customizing and tinkering with settings than actually taking notes? If so, you probably will enjoy Obsidian.
Do you enjoy a self-hosted solution that you can have some customization with? Maybe Bookstack is your best bet.
Do you enjoy just the chaos of text files? Sublime or Notepad++ is your best bet.
